American Home Furniture and Mattress celebrating over 85 years of serving our community is seeking individuals for our Distribution Center which is located at I-25 and Comanche Blvd. We currently have openings to fill! Work history in a warehouse environment is preferred, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, pass pre-employment drug test. Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule.
We are looking for individuals who are willing to be promoted into other departments. a clean driving record (5 years) would be required for our delivery department.
Full-time starting pay $12.50 per hour

Mattress Specialist - American Square
American Home is accepting placement request forms for those individuals interested
in a Mattress Specialist position.
The following are responsibilities associated with this position:
1. Greet incoming customers as they enter the department.
2. Qualify each customer to fulfill buying motives and consumer needs.
3. Keep track of the number of customers entering the department.
4. Establish a long-term relationship with every customer by: following up on closed sales and any customer issues.
5. Maintain written sales plan of $63,000 per month.
6. Keep returns and reselects to less than 3%;
7. Keep Benefit Plans & Protectors at a minimum of 4.5% of total volume.
8. Keep Adjustable Bases at a minimum of 8% of total volume.
9. Keep Email capture to a minimum of 65%
10. Attend training classes per training department, (may be on day off, must be paid)
11. Work open order report and coordinate with the delivery department to ensure timely delivery of product.
12. Work with Management and take primary responsibility in merchandise preparation and housekeeping of entire department.
a. Includes coordinating with Distribution Center for transfers, pick-ups etc.
13. Work with Management and take primary responsibility in overall department efforts such as tagging, moving displays, preparing for special events and other duties as assigned.
14. Work with Management and take primary responsibility in preparation and taking of annual inventory.
15. Communicate any and all issues to management immediately including but not limited to:
a. The condition of the department
b. Housekeeping
c. Floor display
16. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desirable Skills:
Strong leadership skills. Good inventory control skills. Good communication skills. Ability to follow and give instructions. Ability to work independently. MUST be flexible with work schedule to accommodate store needs and fluctuating workload. Self-starter. Possess great interaction skills. Ability to take ownership.
